Monkeybird

Practice music for real life

Monkeybird builds pedagogical apps for musical practice — listening, ear training, rhythm, improvisation, and hands-on work at your instrument.

Our philosophy

Our goal is not to make you good at an app. It is to help you get better at music itself: hearing what you read, feeling rhythm in your body, improvising with confidence, and transferring skills directly to your instrument.

What we focus on

  • Listening

Develop active listening and connect sound to what you see and play.

  • Ear training

Strengthen pitch recognition and the link between notation and what you hear.

  • Rhythm

Internalize pulse and timing so rhythm becomes natural, not mechanical.

  • Improvisation

Build confidence to create and respond in the moment.

  • Instrument practice

Bridge exercises to real playing on your instrument.
